Are you into quilting, fiber art, mixed media art, textiles, or just want to learn how to dye fabric? Earlene M. will be teaching us how to dye cotton fabric in 30 different hues in one sitting!
If you like setting up systems, you can have a lot of fun playing with this kind of control of color dyeing. Mixing and experimenting with gradations is one way to locate unusual colors in combination. It can expand your color vocabulary dramatically. In addition, gradations of colors, because they usually contain some kind of constant, usually work well together in composition because they have a common ground which connects visually. In this class you will dye 30 sample pieces of kona cotton fabric in various hues.
ALL supplies are included in your class fee. Please be sure to wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dye on. We have aprons, but if you have your own, please bring one. We will be working with dye powders and we will provide you a dusk mask and nitrile gloves. Please feel free to bring lunch or take a break to go get food and bring it in!
This class is $60 for Confluent members and $75 for Non-Members. Please select the appropriate rate above.
